Marilyn shared with us her experience in a #iVolunteered post on Facebook:

#iVOLUNTEERED at Mt. Timbak as storyteller and dancer. Yes! I taught the kids how to dance achu-chi-cha! It was a very fulfilling activity. A worthwhile experience indeed. The kids were happy to have had received books and school supplies but we are much much happier to have had shared our blessings. To GOD be the glory!:)

As part of the NCV celebration of National Volunteer Month, Marilyn also shared her thoughts on the change she would like to see in her community, and how she can help in her own little way:

I would like to have a community with no corrupt leaders. Since I am a teacher, I would like to be an example to my students by doing my job well and by not taking advantage of them.

Thanks so much for sending this in and for being a source of inspiration for others to volunteer, Marilyn! Your 2014 planner is on its way! 🙂
