Aiza shared with us her experience in a #iVolunteered post on Facebook:

Each morning gives us a
new day..
a new beginning..
new hope..
I think this is what my countrymen were thinking too..
No matter how badly they were hurt, how devastated their experience was, they seemed very hopeful. I was amazed how Brave and Positive they were!
after what they’ve experienced with the super typhoon, they could still managed to share their smiles to us and that melts my heart.. Maybe that’s one reason why we Filipinos are strong… We know how to smile at our problems, we know there’s always tomorrow and it will be a brighter day! Stay Positive Philippines!

As part of the NCV celebration of National Volunteer Month, Aiza also shared her thoughts on the change she would like to see in the nation and in her community, and how she can help in her own little way:

I hope in the near future, our community and the whole country will be well equipped especially in times of calamity. I will always try to be prepared and aware of what’s really happening around me, always keep emergency kit around.

Thanks so much for sending this in and for being a source of inspiration for others to volunteer, Aiza! Your Everyday Hero T-shirt is on its way! 🙂
