CBTL and Project Pearls Take Top Honors in iVolunteer’s 2020 Partners’ Appreciation Night

Makati, Metro Manila – iVolunteer Philippines held its 2nd Partners’ Appreciation Night last Saturday to recognize its various partners in the social development sector. Among those in attendance are ABS-CBN Foundation, Alaska Milk Foundation, PHINMA, RSRJ, Citizens Disaster Response Center (CDRC), Feeding Change, ATD Fourth World, Philippine Jesuit Prison Service (PJPS), Pandacan Ecology Ministry, Habitat for Humanity, PARC Foundation, Project Anecdote, Project Biyahero, Grain Foundation for PWD, Heart Warriors Philippines, Progressive Assistance Canada, The Storytelling Project, and Kythe Foundation.

Our Executive Director and Co-Founder, JB Tan, opened the program by thanking the iVolunteer community for their continuous support all throughout last year which was highlighted by the return of Go! Volunteer Expo and BayaniRun, as well as our first-ever Social Innovation Challenge which saw volunteer ambassadors take the challenge of bringing their best social development ideas to life.

JB also thanked the entire community in uniting for a common goal of making a “Better Philippines” and spreading the spirit of volunteerism. He then reminded everyone  that “If nobody will dream for the Philippines, hindi ito magbabago (it will not change).”

While every organization and partner were duly and deservingly recognized, a select few stood out for their capability to gather more volunteers and create more volunteer opportunities using the iVolunteer website, they are:

  • Corporate Partner of the Year – The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
  • Volunteer-Engaging Partner of the Year – Project Pearls
  • New Volunteer Engaging Partner of the Year – Juan Portrait
  • Volunteer Engagement Champions – Aral Pinoy, ATD Fourth World, and Karinderia ni Mang Urot
  • Volunteer Ambassadors – He Cares Mission, Karinderia ni Mang Urot, and Project Pearls

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was named Corporate Partner of the year for being a frequent collaborator on key volunteer engagement and ambassador projects such as “Start Your Adventure” and Social Innovation Challenge, while Project Pearls and Juan Portrait were each recognized for their volunteer-engagement efforts using our website throughout 2019.
