iVolunteer Philippines had a hectic but meaningful year as we took one step closer toward making our dream of a better Philippines into a reality with each and every Filipino taking part in nation building.
Thank you for being a part of the 1,600 Filipinos who answered our call to start taking action this year! There are now 5,500 volunteers part of this revolution. iVolunteer is continuing to seek new avenues to inspire more Filipinos to take up our cause—we have participated in major volunteer events throughout the year from building homes for families over the summer to fulfilling the wishes of children for Christmas, as well as spread the fire of volunteerism by joining 2 volunteer fairs in Manila and Quezon City, we continue to provide education through social media, television and radio guestings, community meet-ups, as well as campus and company talks. We would also like to thank the 32,000 Filipinos who have trusted iVolunteer and is listening to us via our different communication channels.
To able to encourage more Filipinos to volunteer, iVolunteer has also conducted a volunteer study this year. Thank you for the 754 volunteers who have shared their thoughts about volunteerism—your insights are very valuable! Check out the results here.
We also continue to partner as we know we can achieve this dream faster when each one of us works together. This year, we have made new partnerships with 32 volunteer-engaging organizations (we now have a total of 92 partners. Our partners have produced 410 volunteer events with a total of 4,600 volunteer opportunities. Thank you to our partners for continuously taking care and growing the volunteers to become responsible Filipino citizens! An NGO-community meet-up has been set-up this year for all of us to start synergizing our resources and working together to solve our nation’s challenges. To even accelerate our programs, we made new collaborations with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Gawad Kalinga, Ayala Malls, and we also have on-going discussions with BPI and Philam Foundations.
iVolunteer Philippines has also been invited to share our thoughts on volunteerism in venues such as De La Salle University, DZIQ Radio Inquirer 990, DZAS 702, DZRV Radio Veritas 846, Family Rosary Crusade, Philam Foundation and Pilipinas Natin’s Volunteerism Summit.
As we enter a new year, we are excited to share with you our plans to have a Volunteer Awareness Day this coming March 2016 at the Glorietta Activity Center. This is our way of thanking both the volunteers and our partners for their continued support to iVolunteer Philippines and our dreams. We hope to see you there! Stay tuned for more details in the coming month.
Let’s believe that we can BE a better nation and start taking action by becoming someone’s everyday hero!
