GO! Volunteer Expo 2026 Davao: Bringing Volunteerism Closer to Every Filipino

DAVAO CITY – On June 6 to 7, 2026, iVolunteer Philippines, in partnership with SM, successfully brought the GO! Volunteer Expo 2026 to SM City Davao. Held in celebration of the United Nations International Year of Volunteers 2026, the two-day event gathered non-profit organizations, volunteers, and advocacy champions to inspire more Filipinos to discover meaningful ways to serve their communities.

Recognized as the country’s premier volunteer engagement event, GO! Volunteer Expo creates opportunities for individuals to connect with causes that matter to them. This year’s Davao leg featured 14 nonprofit organizations representing a diverse range of advocacies, including child rights, environmental conservation, disability inclusion, youth development, health awareness, and community empowerment.

More than 13,000 Filipinos visited GO! Volunteer Expo 2026 Davao over the course of two days, exploring different advocacies, engaging with nonprofit organizations, and discovering meaningful opportunities to volunteer. The overwhelming turnout reflected the growing interest of Filipinos in giving back to their communities and becoming part of causes that create lasting impact.

The expo also marked a significant milestone for the volunteer sector as 2026 was proclaimed by the United Nations as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development. Through initiatives such as GO! Volunteer Expo, iVolunteer Philippines continues its mission of making volunteerism known, making it easy, and making it happen by encouraging more Filipinos to discover volunteerism as a meaningful way to contribute to nation-building and sustainable development.

Participating organizations included Amihan sa Dahican – Balod sa Paglaom, Davao Durians Rugby Football Club, Davao Warrior Angel Charity Organization, Dyesabel Philippines, EGIP Foundation, Endangered Species International, Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, Foundation for Balay Pasilungan, Madaris Volunteer Program, National Youth Volunteers Coalition, One Race for Filipino Services – Mindanao, Philippine Eagle Foundation, SOS Children’s Village Davao, and Tambayan Center for Children’s Rights. The Sign Language Interpreters of Davao Region also joined the event by facilitating a workshop during the second day of the expo.

Throughout the weekend, visitors journeyed through advocacy pit stops grouped under the themes of People, Planet, and Prosperity. Each organization brought its advocacy to life through engaging activities, conversations, and interactive learning experiences. Whether exploring issues related to child rights and health awareness, learning about environmental conservation and wildlife protection, or discovering initiatives that strengthen communities and create opportunities for growth, participants gained a deeper appreciation of the many ways volunteerism can create positive change. More importantly, the experience helped attendees see how their own skills, interests, and passions can contribute to building a better future for all.

One of the most engaging features of the expo was the Volunteer Bingo challenge. Visitors received volunteer passports and were encouraged to visit every NGO booth to complete their cards. As attendees moved from one advocacy to another, they not only became eligible for prizes but also gained a deeper understanding of the organizations working to address community needs. The activity became a testament to the bayanihan spirit among participating NGOs, who joined forces to create engaging experiences and encourage visitors to explore every advocacy represented at the event.

Behind the success of the expo was a dedicated team of 117 volunteer committee members who generously shared their time, energy, and talents to ensure a meaningful experience for participants. Their commitment reflected the very spirit of volunteerism that the event sought to celebrate.

Beyond introducing volunteer opportunities, GO! Volunteer Expo 2026 Davao became a space for learning, connection, and collective action. It demonstrated how nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and community members can come together to build awareness, inspire service, and strengthen the culture of bayanihan.

As the two-day expo came to a close, participants left not only with new knowledge and connections, but also with a renewed sense of purpose. The stories shared, advocacies discovered, and partnerships formed throughout the event served as a reminder that everyone has something valuable to contribute.

Through collective action and the enduring spirit of bayanihan, GO! Volunteer Expo 2026 Davao reaffirmed a simple but powerful truth: creating change does not require extraordinary abilities—only the willingness to take the first step and serve.
