iVolunteer Philippines continues its volunteer education programs with several key initiatives.

Another Start Your Adventure webinar was held on August 24 virtually for those who are interested to start their volunteering journey with 100 interested people attending.

A simultaneous Volunteer Community Meet-ups were held in Manila and Davao last September 21 which aims to provide an opportunity for volunteers to meet like-minded people with the aim that they find a volunteer support system as part of their journey. This was also part of iVolunteer’s 15th year celebration as the internal team volunteered together with two of iVolunteer’s valued partners – Project PEARLS in Manila and Field of Dreams in Davao.

Key Media and First Focus also partnered with iVolunteer to provide their employees opportunities to volunteer on August 31 and September 28, respectively. A total of 40 volunteers from both corporations went to Bocaue, Bulacan. They facilitated the soup kitchen and brain booster activity for the kids as they learned to draw the Philippine flag in celebration of Buwan ng Wika (National Language Month).

We also had another virtual Partners Community Meet-up on September 14. 17 individual from 12 NGOs attended this session to learn and share future programs and activities from different NGOs enabling potential synergies and collaborations.

Learning opportunities for the volunteer leaders from our NGO partners also continues with the Bayani Learning Series. On July 20, we talked about Effective Fundraising aiming to help them in getting more resources for their programs. It was attended by 35 representatives from 25 of our partner NGOs.

On July 2, iVolunteer attended Lighthouse Day, a gathering of youth leaders around Davao City to meet and learn about active citizenship.

We also joined the National Youth Volunteers Coalition on August 12  in their celebrations of the International Youth Day, ASEAN Day, and Linggo ng Kabataan (Youth Week). Check the full online conversation here.

Our annual campaign to support the Christmas wishes of our partner communities – iVolunTree for Christmas has been launched. You can start to donate to the advocacies you support by visiting www.ivolunteer.com.ph/ivoluntree
